WELL NOT YET.
But it could be soon with your help.

There’s a petition going around right now asking to do just that. Just like you write off your miles and gas for driving your car to work, we would now be able to log our bike miles. The goal is to promote bicycle commuting which would reduce the amount of cars on the road and lead to:
- reduced carbon emissions
- less traffic
- healthier workers
- biker friendly business suits
I already enjoy biking to work for these exact reasons but now as a business owner, i’m all for pedaling my way to some tax breaks. I’m looking forward to integrating bike benefits for our employees as the business grows, and Outdoor Junkiez wouldn’t be the only one. There’s already some businesses who give their employees benefits for biking to work like New Belgium out of Ft. Collins, CO. After having just visited Ft. Collins last week, I can see why. Everyone mountain bikes, it has huge bike lanes, it’s relatively flat and there’s 19 breweries to challenge your biking balance. (Outdoor Junkiez does not condone drinking and biking)
So sign the petition! And add one more reason for bikers to overly pretentious and smug.
